Paris is the newest of our stores, and in a way the one the rest were leading to. No city has loved dance longer. The oldest ballet company in the world was born here, and beauty in Paris is not decoration, it is an inheritance, kept and handed on, generation to generation. That is the company we want to keep.

Our store takes its place in that long tradition. The leotards arrive from the hills of Andalusia, made by the same hands, in the same light, and here they meet the dancers who will wear them. You come in, you try one against your own body, you find the line that is yours. Of all cities, Paris knows what that is worth.

The Paris Style

The PARIS was designed for one occasion. Yumiko drew it as soon as the decision to open the Paris boutique was made, working from the city rather than from the range. A leotard named after Paris could only look one way, and she knew exactly what that was: a delicate mesh upper bust, a ruched neckline that adjusts to sit where you want it.

Each month, every Yumiko store releases a single style in a colorway made only for that city. One design, one shade, one place. When the month closes, it's gone.

What lands in New York stays in New York. Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo each hold their own. To wear a monthly exclusive is to carry a little of where you found it, a piece tied to a moment and a doorway, not a catalogue.
